About the blog

Hi!
I think that writte a blog is something funny, but I don't think that is one of my favorite activities. The part that I enjoy more is to read the blogs of my classmates, because I can know them better.
Something that I don't like about this is that we can't choose the theme of our own blog every day. I think that maybe it will be easier for everyone to writte about something that we know and we want to talk about it.

I think is a good excersise to practice the writting, but I think that maybe we need some grammar class or maybe a feedback, because sometimes when I read different blogs, I can find some mistakes that probably happens because we forget the grammar rules. It happens to me too (and maybe I'm having a lot of mistakes now), so I need it.

I don't know if I have some achievement on this activitie. I learnt some new words, but I think that is part of writte and use more language, so I dont' think that is an achievement.

I don't think the year is going so fast, I think that for the first time in many years finally we are having all our classes! I'm very happy for that. Maybe on this class we had some troubles, but en general the program is finally working (at least in the classes that I go).

Nerd

I believe that one of the subjects that I love to study is History of music, because the class are really funny and make me think a lot. We always are talking about the contemporary music and musicians. The focus in this semester is the music since XX century, and for that we made a familiar tree with our teacher and their teachers and etc. That was a really good excercise to know our own history. Now we are reading a book about musical interpretation in the history of the world and it is really usefull because it helps me to be a better performancer and musician. This book was wrote for differents musicians and other people relationed with the music, like teachers and psychologists and that make it feel that the advices and experiences are closer to us.

I really like this subject because the teachers (they are two) are amazing, the make me concient of the succes of the interpretation during the history and make me know how it change because of the social context and the type of instruments in every age.

Flower!

Hi everybody!
I think maybe one my favorites things in the life is taking pictures of beautiful flowers. In this photo you can see one of the most weird flowers I've ever seen. This summer I went to Frutillar with my ensamble of chamber music to participate in the CMMC in the Teatro del Lago. We had to walk to every rehearsal and when I was walking for the street and I saw by my side this amazing plant with this rare flower and her beauty made me feel lucky. Her form is really particular and that what make it very special to me.
I love this picture, because when I see it I can remember an excelent experience playing music with my friends in a beautiful place with amazing teachers.
But I don't know the name of this nice flower and I really want to know it, because I'll like to have it on my home, so if you know something about it, please tell me!

Salsa time

Hi!
Today I want to talk about something that I'mm doing every tuesday and thursday: dancing salsa!
I always wanted to do it, but I was scared and nervious because I didn't trust in myself, but one day when I was with a friend, he said "c'mon!! We can do it!" and since that tuesday I go every week just to dance and enjoy the moment with new people.
Is not only dance, there are class, so everytime I learn a new step. At the begining was too hard, because I didn't know the name of each step, but with the practice I learnt everyone of them and now I can follow the teacher in the class without troubles.
I go with some musicians friends and it results really well because we can follow the rythm in every song. Maybe we aren't amazing dancers, but we try to do the Best of ourselfs.
I think that was a really good idea decide to participate in this salsa class, because I have so much fun and I am knowing new people always.
If you want to try it, the class are in the alameda in the front of the GAM at 8:30 pm every tuesday and thursday and it only cost one 'luca'

Jackie

Jacqueline Du Pre is the best woman cellist that I know. She was born on January 26th, 1945, Oxford and she was married with the famous conductor Daniel Baremboim.

She has the most emotional and perfect version that I know of the Elgar's cello concerto and one of my favorites version of the Brahms 2nd cello sonata. She was too young to play as well as she did it, so was very famous because of her age and her talent.

Something sad about her life is that multiple sclerosis attacked her body, so she had to withdraw from the music at 28 years old.

When she played the Elgar's cello concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra, she did it in her  Stradivarius Davidov  powerfull cello (one of  the best cello that exist in the whole world) and now that instrument belongs to another big cellist: Yo-yo Ma

I admire her because she put a lot of passion in all the pieces she plays and in every intepretation she can touches my heart.

I dream everyday to play the cello with same passion that she.

Raco's Time

One of the things that I really love of living in the south periphery is the Raco. Do you know what it is?
Well, the Raco is a strong and warm wind that comes from the mountain. When I say strong, I mean really strong jajaja
Yesterday at night, when I was coming home, I thought that the weather will be cold, but when I went to the outside, I feel that the wind was warm and I said very happy  “the raco is comming!!”. Then I went to bed and the only thing that I can heard was the roof being crushed by the wind. And that was all the night.  Was very strong, even I felt scared because I thought that when I wake up the roof will not be  on his site .
I think that Raco is the most amazing thing that the mountain can give us to our lungs, because it change the air in a days that are very necesary. I’ts like if the nature knows when she has to send the raco.
I hope that you someday can know the Raco, because i’ts really amazing.

Movie!

Hi!
Choose only one movie i’ts hard! But I will try it jaja
Did you ever seen the movie “Mulan”? oh, think is one of my favorite movies because it make me feel that I can do everything that I want, even if I’m a woman. It make feel strong and Smart.
I like the movies that has a teaching for the life and the most part of the time I prefer the cartoon movies because are more funny. Mulan is one of those movies that has everything: teaching, funny moments, romance, drama, dragons, fights, songs, dance, well, everything.
I can’t remember wich was the last movie I’ve seen, because I don’t watch too much movies. I prefer the tv series. But if I have to recommend one, I’ll choose “Pay it forward” because it’s a really nice movie and it has a very important teaching for all the world.

favorite thing

Hi!
I think that communication is my principal topic to choose any object, for that reason my favorite technologic thing is the radio.
The first memory I have is that when I was 4 and went in the car to my mom's work, we always listened music on the radio's car and between songs were always a notice about different themes. I'm sure that it wasn't the first time that we had a radio, but i'ts nice to remember things like that.
Now I have a big radio with a lot of functions and I use everyday to put on it my favorite music or to listen some news and sometimes I connect the tv audio to the radio just to feel like that I'm on the cine.
I really like the radio because it allows to share music and news for all the world, and throught the music, it can desconnect you of the routine.
Can you imagine a party without a radio? I believe that live music is fantastic, but is hard to find a band or a music group that plays different kind of music for a long time. That is the most wonderfull think of the radio, with the technologic advances, you can search your favorite music and just put on the radio when you want to do it.
I think that with the radio you can do of your life a musical.

My career

When I was a little girl, I've always the dream of be a nurse as my mom. I remember that I really loved all the things in the hospital where she works.
Then when I was 10 or 11 years old, I discovered that I liked the health and the babys, so I investigate about obstetrics and childcare. That was the career that I thought I'll study and sometimes I think that I will do when I finish this.
One day, when I was 13,  my school offered to me the oportunity of be part of the New school orchestra, and I always liked the music, so I said yes and applied for playing cello. Past 1 year, I was in love with the cello and the classical music, so I say to my parents that I want to study music, because it make feel good, important and I that was my real passion.
Now I'm studying for be music performer at the university of Chile. My experience here is good, but I'll like more that the university can provide us all the tools for study in good conditions.
I think in the future I'll like to work on chamber music with people from different countries around the world. I also like the orchestral music, so I hope that I can be in a good orchestra.

My auto Biography

Hi, everyone! I´m Daniela Nahuelan
I'm From Puente Alto, in the south periphery of this city and I've been living there since I was born with my parents and my brother. I have a sister too, but now she lives in another place. My family is really big, I have 15 cousins, so it's crazy when we are all together at my grandmother's house.
I was born on July 7, 1997 in Chile, now I'm 21 years old. Something great in all this years is that since that I have memories, in my home there has always been a dog, so I'm a doglover.
I  play violoncello, that is my occupation and what I study as musical interpretation at the University of Chile since 2015.
Sometimes, when I feel bored or I have some free time, I like to dance in my room some coreography that I find in youtube from an artist that I like, read a book, draw something (not really well, I just do what I can do jajaja) or play the guitar while I sing.
As you can imagine, I really like to listen classical music. One my favourite composers is Schumann, because I really love all the feelings that he put on his pieces, is an amazing world. But, I also like the popular music like Nicole Bunout, Nano Stern, Camila Moreno, Ana Tijoux...  I like so much the new chilean music.
